Tree based Folder/File system
Document Master provides a Directory[folder] / File inteface to store your documents. This structure though visible while navigating through the software, is in fact an illusion. All the documents are in fact stored in a single database file. The Navigator Screen [the foundation module] allows you to define Directories / Folders and Files inside your Database as well as gives you access to Scan Logistics Module. FOLDERS/DIRECTORIES List Box is used to define Directories/Folders much like you define folders in your file system.

  Creating a New Folder/Directory.
  Renaming a Folder/Directory.
  Deleting a Folder/Directory.
  Creating a New File.
  Editing an Existing File.
  Deleting an Existing File.
  Image Viewing Options Like Scaling and Full Screen Display.
Wide Range of Scanning, Scaling, Viewing Options
Scaling Options For Display Only. They have no effect on the way the document will be scanned or the way it is stored in your Database. Any scaling percentage can be chosen and further a full screen image viewing is possible for better browsing of the text.
Scan Parameters. Various data compression parameters are made available. User has a choice of scanning option from 75 dpi to 400 dpi using the available scanner interface.Your file size and clarity depends on how efficiently you use these options.
Saving Images To Media [hard disk, floppy etc.] There are various file saving options available to you using your own Write Resolution and Scale Method and the Scale Percentage
Loading Existing Scanned Image. You can load existing scanned images from your media into the software.
Image Editing Options. A wide choice of manipulations like Appending [Adding Pages] , Overwriting, Rotating, Inverting, Swapping of pages is possible.
Annotations. Editing and Commiting [Burning] Annotations e.g. rectangle, highlight, line, pointer, ellipse, poly line, freehand, polygon, image, label, notes, rubber stamp directly onto an underlying image.
Panning and Zooming.
Printing Scanned Images. Variety of printing options.
Other Features Which Facilitate The Use Of This Software.
Corresponding to the documents scanned there are features which let you keep reference notes, follow ups, modification schedule, results/status etc. for better interaction with clients. The basic idea is to form associations/references to all documents scanned in a file. These fields are special RICHTEXT MEMO FIELDS with each field having its own internal EDITOR.
Each Rich Text memo field specified above implements a Win32 rich edit control with many additional in-place and popup text editor options.
Each Rich Text memo field specified above also has the capacity to accept dropped files directly from the Windows Explorer. Text [*.txt], Rich Text Files [*.rtf] and Document Files [*.doc] are accepted by the field. Each memo field has the capacity to hold a maximum of 8000 characters.
A comprehensive locate facility based on queries for finding/locating files[s] is available. A list of Easy Predefined Queries has been provided which you can use as is or modify as needed. Very little knowledge of Sequential Query Language is essential to develop queries. You can also find files based on any word[s] which you have entered in the Rich Text Memo fields.
Informative Status Bars provide relevant information at every stage. The software comes with a Hint Manager which can be activated, manipulated, deactivated by the user. Online context sensitive help with snapshot details is available for ease of operation and optimum use of the software.
After the days work you can use the in-built compact and repair database facility to compress, repair and refresh the indexes in your database.
