SMSync requires Windows 98 Second Edition or above.
Appropriate drivers for the device should be loaded as specified by the manufacturer of your GSM cell phone.
Please stop any Registry protection utilities before attempting to install as they can prevent the application from installing correctly.
If you are running Windows NT 4 or Windows 2000 you must log on to your PC using an Administrator account.
Imp : YOUR COLOR SETTINGS FOR THE MONITOR ATTACHED TO THE VIDEO ADAPTER SHOULD BE ATLEAST 256 COLORS OR GREATER PREFERABLY 16 BIT [HIGH COLOR] OR 24 BIT [TRUE COLOR]. A COLOR SETTING OF LESS THAN 256 COLORS MAY PREVENT THE SOFTWARE FROM LOADING. You can do this by going to the control panel and clicking on the Display Applet.
Imp.Instructions for w98 SE users:- If a reboot is required to complete the installation of SMSync (as detemined by the setup program, or by an increase in the number of file rename operations in the registry), the end user is informed that a reboot is necessary and the setup will run after the next reboot.

Installation instructions
Download the SMSync 4.06 trial version [SMSYNCEVAL.ZIP] to your Desktop or other downloads folder.
Unzip the file using an unzip program like Winrar, Netzip etc.
Run the installer file [SETUP.EXE](double-click on it).
Follow the on-screen instructions.

[E]. YOU CAN FETCH SMS MESSAGE ENTRIES FROM THE PHONE SIM BUT CANNOT SAVE ENTRIES TO THE HARD DISK.
[F]. YOU CAN FETCH SMS MESSAGE ENTRIES FROM THE PHONE SIM BUT CANNOT DELETE ENTRIES FROM THE SIM.
