Vsphere is an easy-to-use Windows application that turns your PC into a video surveillance system.
Vsphere targets the mobile user with live feed
"WHEN" the user wants it. The mobile device can be undefined, the mobile browser undefined as well as any computer [ Local / Remote ] should be able to connect to vsphere.
How does VSphere Work ?
VSphere functions at 3 levels:

The Image Server.

The camera System.

Connecting Clients - Local and Remote.
Vsphere converts the computer on which it is loaded into a image server. The application then connects to the attached cameras. You can specify video codec, video display, video format and the video source for each camera connected. The properties page that will be displayed for each element will depend on the type of camera[s] connected to the system.
Once the cameras are configured, the next step is to define the port [default 8000] where you want vsphere to listen to incomming connections.
Use the url page to find out the connection urls you have to use for local and remote connections.
Now activate the listener and vsphere will start listening at the configured port.
Use the local url in your default internet browser to connect to vsphere locally [from the image server or local Lan / intranet] and watch live snapshots from the chosen camera.
No software needs to be loaded on client computers to access VSphere.
Use the remote url to connect to vsphere from the internet using any mobile device or any remote computer connected to the internet and watch live snapshots from the chosen camera.
No software needs to be loaded on client computers or mobile devices to access VSphere.
Mobile devices can include any device with GPRS connection and capable of viewing HTML pages.
Mobile devices can include all types of
Cell Phones as well as PDAs.
All incoming connections [local/remote] are registered by VSphere and their
IP addresses tracked.
VSphere also provides
Authentication Procedures where only defined users are permitted into the system.
